A Week of Looking Back

This week, PCRescue celebrated 23 years of helping families and small businesses keep their computers running. We’ve looked back on where we started, shared some of the most common problems we’ve solved, and reflected on how tech support has changed over the years.

But an anniversary is more than just a milestone—it’s a chance to pause, reflect, and look ahead.

What 23 Years Has Taught Us

When PCRescue began in 2002, the biggest worries were viruses, failing floppy drives, and upgrading to Windows XP. Today, we deal with ransomware, cloud logins, smartphones, and artificial intelligence. Technology has changed, but the lessons we’ve learned still hold true:

• Problems repeat. Slow computers, forgotten passwords, and printer headaches never go away—they just take new forms.

• Data is everything. Protecting files, photos, and documents is the single most important part of support. Devices can be replaced—memories and business records can’t.

• Convenience matters. People want problems solved quickly, whether that means a same-day shop repair or a secure remote session.

• Trust is earned. After 23 years, we know that being reliable, honest, and available matters as much as technical skill.
